This catalog lists and annotates films which have been (or would seem to be) useful for teaching anthropology. It has grown through five earlier editions which in turn started from a list made by Robert Gardner. This 6th edition contains some 780 titles, which is an increase of about 85% over the 5th edition of 1972.





This catalog includes:


(1) Film titles. Films are listed in alphabetical order. For each film, a description, bibliography, price and disstributor's name are given.





(2) Distributors. The Distributor Index contains the name and address of each distributor (in alphabetical order).





(3) Subjects. The Subject Index lists all the films relevant to a particular topic (e.g. archaeology) or culture area (e.g. Mayan)





(4) Authors. The Author Index lists persons involved in the filmmaking or in writing about the film.
