FABLAB THE LEGACY: “TOWARDS THE BORDER” Road Show adalah kegiatan dalam rangka mengenalkan dan sekaligus mempresentasikan kembali Project Fablab Yogyakarta (HONFablab) tentang manajemen, kolaborasi dan pencapaian project di beberapa kota di Indonesia, serta beberapa negara di Asia Tenggara untuk membuka kesempatan pendirian Fablab di area-area tersebut.

Perihal HONFablab: HONFablab didirikan oleh HONF Foundation pada tahun 2011. HONFablab berdiri atas kerjasama HONF Foundation – Yogkarta, Indonesia dan WAAG Society – Amsterdam, Netherland. HONFablab merupakan sebuah Laboratorium Fabrikasi Digital yang pertama di Yogyakarta, Indonesia, dan di Asia Tenggara. HONFablab merupakan salah satu FabLab dalam jaringan global FabLab-FabLab yang tersebar di dunia yang dikembangkan oleh Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Amerika Serikat. HONFablab memberikan sebuah fasilitas untuk fabrikasi digital yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk membuat hampir segalanya. HONFablab sendiri terbuka bagi pekerja kreatif secara khusus dan khalayak publik pada umumnya, dengan menawarkan distribusi ilmu pengetahuan dengan saling berbagi dalam fabrikasi digital di industri kreatif secara luas.

HONFablab dijalankan mengikuti sebuah kurikulum yang dibentuk oleh HONF Foundation. Kurikulum tersebut bernama Education Focus Program (EFP). Education Focus Program (EFP) adalah sebuah kurikulum yang berkonsentrasi pada pertukaran ilmu pengetahuan interdisiplin dan proses kolaborasi dalam analisis kritis terhadap isu-isu yang muncul dari situasi dan kondisi tersebut. Hal ini memicu pengolahan ide-ide inovatif untuk mencari solusi terbaik bagi masalah yang dihadapi. Tujuan utama EFP adalah untuk membangun sebuah pola pikir dan mentalitas terbuka di masyarakat dengan menjembatani kesenian, ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi melalui kegiatan bersifat edukatif dan berkesinambungan antara satu dengan yang lain.

HONFablab merancang EFP sebagai panduan utama dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan kegiatan yang bersifat konsisten dan berkelanjutan dari segala suatu inisiatif baru. EFP berfokus pada kegiatan yang bersifat edukatif dalam bentuk:

Belajar dengan Berbagi (Learning by Sharing)
Belajar dengan Bertukar (Learning by Exchanging)
Belajar dengan Melayani (Learning by Serving)
Belajar sembari Melakukan (Learning by Doing)

Fablab THE LEGACY : ” TOWARDS THE BORDER ” Road Show present you activities and projects by Fablab Yogyakarta (HONFablab)—the management, collaboration and achievement of the project in several cities in Indonesia, as well as several countries in Southeast Asia to open up opportunities Fablab establishment in these areas.

About HONFablab : HONFablab was established by the Fablab Foundation in 2011, a cooperation between HONF Foundation – Yogkarta, Indonesia and Waag Society – Amsterdam, Netherlands. HONFablab Digital Fabrication Laboratory is the first of its kind in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia. HONFablab is one among the global networks of Fablabs spread across the world, developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. HONFablab provides a facility for digital fabrication that has the ability to make almost everything. HONFablab opens itself to creative workers in particular and public audience in general, by offering the distributed sharing of knowledge in digital fabrication amongst the creative industry at large.

HONFablab is run according to a curriculum established by HONF Foundation. The curriculum is called Education Focus Program (EFP), concentrating on interdisciplinary scientific exchange and collaboration in the process of analysis of the critical issues that arise from these circumstances. This triggers the processing of innovative ideas to find the best solution for the problem at hand. EFP main goal is to build an open mindset and mentality in society by bridging the arts, science and technology through continuous interactive educational activities.

HONFablab EFP is designed as the main guide in planning and carrying out activities that are consistent and sustainable of all the new initiatives. EFP focuses on activities in education in the form of :

Learning to Serve ( Learning by Serving )
Learning while Doing ( Learning by Doing )
