c2o Newsletter vol. 14: Changes grow from the smallest things

Tanggal 5 Juni dicanangkan oleh UNEP sebagai Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia (World Environment Day).

3. Bulan depan, kami akan mengadakan rangkain acara anak & craft. Jika tak ingin ketinggalan berita-berita acara lainnya, ikuti update kami di Facebook, Twitter, ataupun website. Selamat membaca!

To celebrate the World Environment Day, throughout the month of June 2011, we’ll be holding a free public screening & discussion of films related to environmental issues such as Wall-E, Home, Earth, Food Inc., and The Gleaners and I. As a highlight, we’ll be screening a local Indonesian documentary about expedition around the Indonesian archipelago, Ekspedisi Zamrud Khatulistiwa . Directors will be in attendance.

Inspired by the edible schoolyards program, we’ll also start planting our yard with herbs and vegetables, encouraging our patrons to bring a seedling to plant, pick some herbs and veggies from the garden, or even start their own edible garden. In future, when the herbs and veggies have ripened, we plan to host communal lunches using ingredients straight from the garden.
